Art Journey

With over 18 years of experience, I explore traditional folk and tribal arts from India, merging passion with creativity in every piece I create. I love to explore opportunities where art can become the language that helps bridge barriers and can spill over into everyday life. As an artist, using my talent to promote little known tribal art forms and giving back to the community is my focus.

Experience

  • Studied folk and tribal art forms from India, first as a self-study, later from the masters.

  • Taught art workshops for awareness, education, and fostering creativity by collaborating with

    • local non-profits (Hum Sub, Leela Foundation, Ekal Vidyalaya)

    • area towns (Town of Cary, Chapel Hill, Jamestown, Durham, Morrisville, Fuquay-Varina, Hillsborough)

    • nationally, in Naples, FL, Asheville, NC, Portland, OR

    • internationally, in Toronto, CA and Delhi, India.

  • Introduce traditional art styles from India by showcasing my art at public art spaces in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Durham, and Hillsborough.

  • Using my works of art to help convey socially relevant messages and raise funds for charitable initiatives.
